We held our CSFPG inaugural day on 5 October 2015 in the form of a Coffee Morning. More than 50 members and others attended and it was a great opportunity to get to know people and explain what CSF is about We were particularly pleased to welcome representatives of La Ligue Contre le cancer and the French healthcare service.

Messages were received from the National President Tony Benstead and from our neighbouring Associations.

Tim Forster, the President summarised what we have achieved to date and where we are going with our new Association He said that we are now well established in the Gard with 24 members including 7 Active Listeners. Pippa Forster, our Client Support Co-coordinator, now has all systems fully in place with an operational Helpline being monitored by our team of Active Listeners, who have also commenced a programme of continuation training. With help from CSF Sud, one of our neighbouring associations, we will refine our training so that we are in a position to conduct training and development of existing and new Active Listeners and of those volunteers needing a one-day course. We are currently supporting 3 clients, all in the Gard, * and are ready to deal with any increased demand.

(* Now 7 clients including one from Aix as of 1 Jan 2016)
