On the morning of Sunday 17 September 2017, 18 canoes with 36 CSF volunteers left Collias on the river Gardon to follow the river downstream 8 km to the Pont du Gard. This was aimed to raise awareness of CSFPG and emphasise the importance of exercise to living with and recovering from cancer.

A total of 36 people paddled the route, 25 of these were students from the International Bilingual School of Provence (IBS) in Aix with whom we are delighted to be forging links.

The38 canoeists met up with a team of 6 people who had walked the Memoires de Garrigue trail at the Pont du Gard. A picnic on the banks of the river was enjoyed by all and the IBS students dashed about the site handing leaflets to everyone there.

A great success! A first in our exciting relationship with IBS, a great opportunity to raise awareness, we raised more than €400 for our funds and, importantly, had a great and fun day!
